Mardi Gras in San Diego – “Hot Tub Time Machine”
The Office’s Craig Robinson and Greek’s Clark Duke come to San Diego to Grand Marshall the Mardi Gras Parade. I moderated their special screening with Q&A and they asked me to join them in the lead car and throw out beads to the streets lined with celebrating fans!
The Critics’ Choice Movie Awards
This is the awards show where all the journalists vote of the top movies, actors and choice awards for the past year. Since I’m a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) I get to attend as a guest. This was the first year we had the show at the Hollywood Palladium. Nick Jonas & the Administration performed as the celebs arrived on the red carpet. I brought my brother and sister-in-law with me and we had a blast snapping photos with all our favorite celeb friends. (Including Paul McCartney, Meryl Streep, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, and Ed Helms)
London, UK – World Premiere “Avatar”
World Premiere of 2oth Century’s Avatar!! The highest grossing movie of all time!
Can’t even begin to describe the feeling in the streets and the stars as they lined the blue carpet in Leicester Square… James Cameron (Titanic), Producer Jon Landau (Titanic), Sigourney Weaver (Alien) and Stephen Lang (Public Enemies) celebrate with my family!
Jackson Hole/Yellowstone, Wyoming – “2012”
Roland Emmerich’s 2012 took me to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for interviews. The film starred John Cusack, Woody Harrelson and Amanda Peet. It was unseasonable cold, single digits with snow! It was so cold we almost didn’t make it to Yellowstone… but we powered through and took in Old Faithful, buffalo, moose, and more!
Bora Bora – “Couples Retreat “
Swimming with sting rays, snorkeling with sharks, and jet skiing the island… all with the cast of Universal Pictures Couples Retreat! I sat down on the beautiful beaches of Bora Bora to do interviews with Vince Vaughn, Malin Akerman, Jason Bateman, Kristen Bell, Jon Favreau, Kristin Davis, Fazion Love, and Kali Hawk.
A select group of entertainment reporters flew to Bora Bora with Vince Vaughn, Kristen Bell, Fazion Love, and Jason Bateman. The rest of the cast met us all on the island later. We had to take a charter from Tahiti to Bora Bora and the small place was just celebs, publicists, press and studio reps, we were all praying for a smooth flight into the literally one building airport on Bora Bora.
Bora Bora is such a unique and unforgettable place. I wanted to explore as much as I could and bring as much as I could to our viewers so I immersed myself. I faced fears and embraced challenges with the cameras rolling the entire time.
